About The Band
Origins
Moonlighting was formed from a collection of like minded musicians who started playing together in various forms back in 2018, playing for swing dance and jazz venues of various sizes. The band is adaptable from a two piece to a five piece depending on the requirements of the engagement and is based in south Gloucestershire UK. The lineup features a combination of drums, double bass, piano, clarinet, guitar, and violin with up to three vocalists.
Performance
Moonlighting can tailor a set to suit your event weather it is atmospheric music or a full on dance that is required or somewhere in between. Informal delivery with some humour and audience engagement, the band has a good track record at major dance and vintage festivals as well as prestigious venues, recently Highgrove House. Also adaptable for smaller swing dance clubs, private functions, and intimate settings like bars, cafes, and bistros. In 2024 Moonlighting will be appearing at Vintage Nostalgia Festival, Twinwood Festival, Retro Festival Newbury, Nighthawkes Festival, Cheltenham Swing Dance Festival and others TBC.

If participation is a part of your event he band can bring along Amanda, who will be happy to teach a few simple swing dance steps to those who are interested – suitable for complete beginners.
